A non-refundable retainer is due at booking. When you sign up for a session, my scheduling software will create an invoice for you for the retainer. If you do not submit this invoice, your session will not be saved in my calendar, and you will lose your spot. Once you submit your invoice, you should see a confirmation page with the date and time you booked, and you should also receive an automated email from me confirming your session.  If you do not see a confirmation page, something went wrong so please contact me asap!


Note: A 4% processing fee will be added to your invoice for PayPal and Venmo transactions. For Fall & Tree Farm Minis, the $4 fee will be split between your retainer and final invoice. For Holiday Minis, the fee is $6. If you opt to pay with cash or check, you do not need to include this fee in your total amount.

Paying with PayPal

Make sure your pop-up windows are enabled. To pay your retainer, click “Submit & Finish” on the invoice. A new window may appear. Click “Pay with PayPal”. On the next screen, you can either log into your PayPal account OR click the gray button that says “Pay with Debit or Credit Card”. Follow the remaining prompts to enter your payment info. Keep in mind, these instructions may vary slightly depending on what device you use.

Paying with Venmo

On the invoice, type in “Venmo” as the discount code (case-sensitive), then click “Apply” to bring your invoice balance to $0. That will allow you to click "Submit" and book your session. Then, open the Venmo app and send the money. My username is @BrookeLPhotos under the business tab. The retainer amount due for Fall & Tree Farm Minis is $52. The retainer amount due for Holiday Minis is $78.

Paying with Cash

On the invoice, type in “Cash” as the discount code (case-sensitive), then click “Apply” to bring your invoice balance to $0. That will allow you to click "Submit" and book your session. Then, mail or drop off your retainer within 2-3 business days. My address is 10010 Daly Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. If paying with cash, the retainer due for Fall & Tree Farm Minis is $50. The amount due for Holiday Minis is $75. Please send me an email when your payment is in the mail.

Paying with Check

When and where are Fall Mini Sessions?!

Saturday, October 14: 9 AM-12 PM and 4-6 PM
Sunday, October 15: 9:30 AM-12:30 PM and 4-6 PM
Saturday, October 21: 9 AM-12 PM and 4-6 PM
Saturday, October 28: 11 AM-1 PM and 2-4 PM

All locations are TBD at this time. The fall foliage is really unpredictable, and over the years, I’ve noticed that some parks have fall colors before others. So I will be scouting locations a week in advance and deciding then. The parks I typically choose are located within the 275 loop. If you would like to schedule a session at a specific location, email me to set up a custom booking.

When and where are Tree Farm Mini Sessions?!

Saturday, November 4: 9:30 AM-1 PM and 3-5 PM
RAIN DATE November 5.
Saturday, November 11: 9:30 AM-1 PM and 3-5 PM
RAIN DATE November 12.

Location: John T. Nieman Nursery in Hamilton, OH

Important note: This is a huge tree farm, and there may be other photographers working in the area which can make it confusing. I always ask families to arrive a minimum of 10 minutes early so that you have time to park your car and find me at our meeting location. Keep this in mind when you're booking a time. If you sign up for 11 AM, that is the time we need to start shooting, not the time to be parking.

When and where are Holiday Mini Sessions?!

A. *LIMITED* Dates & Times
Saturday, November 18: 8:30-10:30 AM and 4-5 PM (The Studio)
Sunday, November 19: 2-4 PM (The Space)

These mini sessions will be at Locust & Vine in Elmwood Place. The spaces will be tastefully decorated for the holidays. You can dress up, come casual, or wear pajamas – the choice is all yours!

Can we bring pets?

A. You may bring pets to my Fall & Tree Farm Mini Sessions. However, these sessions are short and sweet so there isn't a lot of time to wrangle pets if they're not cooperating. Just keep that in mind. Most families will do a majority of their session without their pet and then bring them in during the last few minutes. Please bring a leash and waste bags, just in case.

Pets are not allowed in the studios for Holiday Minis, sorry!

Can we bring grandparents or other family members?

A. All of my mini sessions are for immediate family only. If you bring grandparents along to help with your kids, they are more than welcome to pop in a picture or two. But these sessions are not for large, extended families. I offer custom family sessions and extended family sessions if you want to include other family in your session!

What if the date and time I wanted isn't available? (or) What if all of your sessions are booked?

A. Please email me to join my waitlist! I often have spots open up over time, and I may be able to fit you in! Also, I currently have two dates blocked on my schedule as rain dates. Once I get a look at the 10-day weather forecast, I may not need those rain dates. In that case, I will open up more spots! People on my waitlist will be notified first if I'm able to add more sessions.

What if it's going to rain during our session?

A. I will not reschedule mini sessions due to cloudy weather, cold temperatures, or wind. However, if rain is in the forecast, we will reschedule. I usually wait until a few hours before sessions start to make the call.

I have designated October 22 and October 29 as rain dates for all Fall Mini Sessions. We'll attempt to reschedule on one of those dates if your session gets rained out.

With Tree Farm Minis, you must be available at the same time on the rain date designated for your session. I cannot meet you at the tree farm any other day, so if your session gets rained out, and you cannot make it on the rain date, we will have to meet somewhere else to make up your session.

You will not lose your retainer if we have to reschedule due to weather.

Cancellation Policies

Many people (understandably) rush through the booking process and, in doing so, may not pay attention to the cancellation policies they’re agreeing to. So please take a moment now to read through the following statements which you will be required to agree to at booking: 


For Fall Mini Sessions

  • I understand that the 50% retainer is non-refundable. If I cancel my session for any reason, including illness, Brooke Lehenbauer Photography will keep the retainer to offset the lost business. A refund or credit will only be offered if Brooke is able to find another family to take my spot. 
  • I understand that if I have to cancel, I will have the option to reschedule but I may have to pay a new retainer if my original booking was not claimed by another family. 
  • I understand that I need to arrive on time. If I am late, my session time will not be extended. 

For Tree Farm Mini Sessions

  • I understand that the 50% retainer is non-refundable. If I cancel my session for any reason, including illness, Brooke Lehenbauer Photography will keep the retainer to offset the lost business. A refund or credit will only be offered if Brooke is able to find another family to take my spot. 
  • I understand that if I have to cancel, I will have the option to reschedule but I may have to pay a new retainer if my original booking was not claimed by another family. I also understand that rescheduled sessions will not take place at John T. Nieman Nursery.
  • I understand that I need to arrive at least 10 minutes early, dressed and ready to go. It is a big farm, and it can take several minutes to find Brooke and walk to the meeting spot. If I am late, my session time will not be extended.

For Holiday Mini Sessions

  • I understand that the 50% retainer is non-refundable. If I cancel my session for any reason, including illness, Brooke Lehenbauer Photography will keep the retainer to offset the lost business. A refund or credit will only be offered if Brooke is able to find another family to take my spot. 
  • I understand that if I have to cancel, I will not have the option to reschedule as the studio must be reserved months in advance.
  • I understand that I need to arrive on time. If I am late, my session time will not be extended.
